Bryant Boots Buccaneers to Victory

Thank you, Matt Bryant, for taking the wind out from under the Philadelphia Eagles’ wings! That last second field goal save the day, when the Eagles had gained the lead for the first time in the game with only 33 seconds on the clock. Sweet!

By the way, the length of that field goal? 62 yards, one yard shy of the NFL record shard by Jason Elam and Tom Dempsey!

Guess what I’m kicking. Myself, for not getting tickets!

SIMMS OUT OF THE HOSPITAL

Chris Simms should make a full recovery in 6 weeks after a surgery to have his spleen removed. I'm hopeful that Bruce Gradkowski will be able to lead the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to victory in the coming weeks. I just bought a ticket two weeks ago to the Saints game thinking I'd get to see the Super Bowl Champ throw some perfect passes. I guess Bruce will just have to do.

Tampa Bay Bucs Resting and Recuperating

This summer has involved some unscheduled hospital time for me, so I feel very empathetic with our QB Chris Simms--you'll feel so much better just being home, Chris! Easy does it, and eventually things do get back to normal.

Meanwhile, all the Tampa Bay Bucaneers are probably grateful for a bye this week. Three and Oh! is not the way anybody wants to start the season, and that 26-24 heartbreaker with the Carolina Panthers was bad new all around. At least our old pal Keyshawn Johnson claims his two touchdowns were for the Panthers and not against Jon Gruden and the Bucs.

I say let's pull up our socks and get ready to go beat the New Orleans Saints!
